American Civil War II (2016 - )

For those just tuning into politics, please note the United States fought an American Civil War between 1861 and 1865. Back then, the economy of our southern States was based on the slave labor of Negroes forced here to do the agricultural heavy lifting. The economy of the Northern States was based on mostly Caucasian, non-slave labor operating the machines invented during the Industrial Revolution.

Some historians say the American Civil War was fought over the North’s opposition to human slavery. Some historians say the American Civil War was a contest between two economic systems: the Agricultural South versus the Industrial North. Or, maybe, a combination. Take your pick.

What triggered Civil War I was the November, 1860, election of the anti-slavery Republican Abraham Lincoln. Even before Lincoln entered the White House in April, 1861, seven Deep South States seceded and formed the Confederate States of America (CSA). Eventually, 11 States would comprise the CSA. Objectives: Overturn the election of 1860 and expand slavery into the newly settled western States.

Responding to the CSA attack on the U.S. garrison at Ft. Sumter, SC, President Lincoln said: "...when ballots have fairly and constitutionally decided, there can be no successful appeal back to bullets, that there can be no successful appeal, except to ballots themselves, at succeeding elections. Such will be a great lesson of peace, teaching men that what they cannot take by an election, neither can they take it by a war."

Today, the partially bankrupt California threatens to secede from the Union. Hawaii, which has a long history of secessionist talk, threatens to secede. But, for a host of economic reasons, neither State can afford to do so.

Actually, the objectives of the proponents of American Civil War II are more far reaching. The objectives are two-fold: 1. Overturn the results of the presidential election of 2016. 2. Overturn the fundamental premise that a democratically elected government should be allowed to carry out its agenda until the electorate wants to change the direction of government in a subsequent election.

Granted, some people have Hillary Derangement Syndrome (HDS). Hillary can do no right. Some people have Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS). For those with TDS, no matter what President Trump does, it is wrong.

But liking or disliking a particular presidential candidate does not constitute a Civil War. What constitutes a Civil War is when certain bureaucrats within the Executive Branch of the U.S. Government, along with certain elected and appointed officials within the Legislative and the Judicial Branches of government, form a conspiracy, either formal or informal, to set aside the results of the presidential election of 2016 and to prevent the duly elected president from being able to govern effectively.

Other than shooting Republicans at a charity baseball game practice, Civil War II is being waged by Deep State bureaucrats and by Obama-appointed federal judges determined to block whatever Candidate Trump promised to those who elected him.

But Civil War II may be ended by a Federal Grand Jury that is sorting through evidence of possible crimes committed by members of the Obama Administration against Candidate Trump and being committed currently against the Trump Administration. You observe. You decide.
