Four invading columns: Two more already here?
According to the news, several columns of mostly young Central American men are walking and riding north out of Central America and across Mexico for the announced purpose of crossing into the United States of America. If they were waving American Flags, that would be gratifying; however, they are not. They are waving the flags of their nations of origin in Central America, giving every indication that they intend to "invade" the United States, whether we American taxpayers like it or not.
The vast majority of the marchers are men of military age, begging the question: Why don’t those young men remain in their home countries and try to reform the political systems they say are repressing them and their families?
And, going back to the FDR and the JFK Administrations, why have billions of dollars from the "Good Neighbor Policy" and the "Alliance for Progress," and countless other American tax-dollar aid programs failed to bring political and economic stability to the Southern Hemisphere?
Why is it that those countries lurch from one form of Fascism to another, be it Socialist left-wing dictatorships or right-wing Capitalist oligarchies? Is there something in the water down there that prevents them from even coming close to being representative republics like the United States? (Note: The United States is not a pure democracy. We are a representative republic.)
And, speaking of history, if we turn on the "way-back machine" to 1936 and the Spanish Civil War, a comment by one of General Franco’s generals comes to mind. When a journalist asked General Emilio Mola if the four columns he commanded would be able to enter and capture Madrid, General Mola said that he actually had another column inside Madrid that would ensure his victory. He called it his: 5th Column. He said his 5th Column was spreading propaganda for him and, at the right time, would turn on their fellow citizens and help him to kill or capture them. Some, but not all, conservative writers allude to a 6th Column composed of the RINOs (Republicans-in-name-only) who refuse to support the Trump Administration.
Now, if I were to suggest that the anti-Trump American main-stream media (MSM) were performing as General Mola’s 5th Column, I would run the risk of having my writing banned from the Internet. Already, a few subscribers to Central View see an orange band at the bottom of Central View, warning that Central View might not be safe to view. A not uncommon occurrence these days for writers with a conservative point-of-view. Please disregard the banner; however, do accept the fact that Fascism and the Progressive Left have an established record of trying to suppress alternative points-of-view.
We already know at least 90-percent of the employees at Facebook, Twitter, and Google contribute to and vote for Democrat candidates, adding credence to the idea that those major organs of Internet news, discussion, and research are not free from partisan bias. As a precaution, when this writer does research about political issues, www.duckduckgo.com is the search engine of choice. For one thing duckduckgo.com does not sell your personal information.
