Inside Biden’s* failed agenda
With help from Victor Davis Hanson’s June 10, 2024, column in "American Greatness," and from Niall Ferguson’s The Square and the Tower, (2018) , let’s examine the failed agenda of the Biden* regime as to its "what," and "why."
Why? Two possibilities come to mind: 1. Biden’s* handlers actually believe the Marxist/Leninist programs that failed to create a People’s Paradise everywhere else could work in the USA. 2. Biden’s* handlers know Marxist/Leninism impoverishes the masses while enriching the elites but hopes the resulting chaos will achieve Obama’s stated goal of "taking America down a peg or two." Take your pick.
Either way, Biden’s* approval rating hovers between 34 and 36 percent. After clearing the way for over 10 million, mostly un-vaccinated, illegal invaders to cross our now non-existent borders, after raising the cost-of-living some 25 to 30 percent, after involving the U.S. in a proxy war with Russia in Ukraine, after using the unfortunate death of career criminal George Floyd, Critical Race Theory, and DEI to fan the flames of racial tensions, after waging war on America’s fossil-fuel industry, and, in true Banana Republic fashion, waging lawfare on his chief political opponent, Biden* -- the wannabe war-time president,-- might not win re-election.
But wait. This is not the Old World in which great historical figures such as Mikhail Gorbachev, Ronald Reagan, Margaret Thatcher, and Pope John Paul II, could bring an end to a truly evil empire.
This is a new reality of mail-in ballot harvesting, social media censorship, of fake news, of fake photos/videos, of malicious AI-driven bots, of fake ballot boxes, of Ranked Choice Voting (AkA RCV, meaning Reduce Conservative Votes), of an Internet that can be manipulated by foreign powers, all swimming in a swamp of unrestricted leftist legacy-media partisanship. A world in which the crimes of the Biden* family recorded on a laptop computer -- court-verified to be entirely the work of Hunter Biden -- were covered up by the DOJ/FBI just prior to the 2020 presidential election.
Ergo: Restoring America to the preeminent position it held prior to Obama/Biden* is not assured. The Deep State, that sees Biden’s* probable opponent as an existential threat, will go all out to keep Biden* in office. As will America’s rogue intelligence community.
None of them can abide the thought of no more "forever wars" to feed the military/industrial complex, no more attempts at regime changes abroad, no more unwise covert operations, and no more running roughshod over the Bill of Rights and the U.S Constitution.
Yet, we must consider that the Greatest Generation and the Silent Generation are almost gone and the Boomers are fading fast. New generations whose first and last tasks of the day are to consult their smart phones are increasingly in charge. Their worldview is often informed by what they see on a tiny screen.
The Internet and smart phones are two-edged swords, causing a Revolution of Rising Expectations in the Developing World and a Revolution of Falling Expectations here at home. Polling data show our youngest generations do not think they will live as well as their parents and grandparents. Pray they are wrong.
